Our 2020 highlights
What a year it has been!
It is no shock to anyone that 2020 has been a year we will never forget, for better or for worse. Either way, we wanted to wrap up this year with a quick summary of some of the things we at Minted Box have been proud to stick our name on, and what we are excited for in 2021.
A new way of life
This year has been a time where many of us may have picked up a new hobby, found a new skill, made some new friends or started a new adventure. Many of us have had to start again in a new job, gone through some really tough times or even had to say goodbye to someone.
New measures have been put into place that we have never experienced before, national lockdowns, wearing masks or even washing down our shopping once we get home! 2020 was the year we worked from home and, although we have been fortunate enough to adapt, we are looking forward to a time where we can all come together again in one office. Mainly to throw in a dad-joke every so often and enjoy a conversation without the internet cutting us off!

Earlier on in the year we moved into a new space within the Surrey Technology Centre. Despite being very excited to be in a fresh space with a renewed sense of energy, we knew it was the right thing to do to temporarily shut the office doors.
We will be back as soon as we are able, ready to welcome our clients for Covid-safe meetings with arm fulls of coffee, tea and chocolate!

We've worked on a wide variety of projects
Throughout the year we've created an online chat forum, enhanced e-commerce on sites, refreshed the digital presence of many existing and new clients and built bespoke systems to help our clients adapt and thrive within the new way of life.
With this said, there have been a couple of stand-out projects that we can't keep quiet about.
The Covid Testing Network
Towards the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak within the UK, we were asked by the team behind the Covid Testing Network to brand the organisation and build a website, wait for it…within the space of 3 days! Of course we were up for the challenge so we got to work right away.
The MB design team put together a brand, including a logo mark and a bold colour palette within 24 hours. We built a wireframe and prototype of the site, ensuring speedy communication between the client to evolve the digital designs and establish a usable, effective online presence.
After that, it was a matter of our clever development team building and launching the site. Before we knew it we had pulled off the project with great success. The site and branding has since evolved to keep up with their important mission and purpose. We felt honoured putting our skills to the test, through somewhat adrenaline pumped fingers, and are thrilled with the outcomes we've produced since for the Covid Testing Network, both customer facing and internally.

Royal Mail
Another project we've felt privileged and proud to work on this year has been the Drop a Leaflet system for Royal Mail. They needed an effective online booking system, for companies to organise postal drops within specific postcode sectors, without having to call the Royal Mail team or fill out an extensive form.
The user journey went through a series of iterations in order to create a usable system for both customers and the Royal Mail team. Adhering to comprehensive digital guidelines, we skinned and fleshed out the system, before bringing it to life with code and clever integrations.
After extensive testing, the system was launched later on in the year and the success has surpassed any of the team's expectations!

Our Ema Giving visual fundraising platform...
This year, our team have been working hard to get our visual fundraising platform, Ema Giving, at the top of its game. We have been working with over 30 charities, hospices and other organisations throughout 2020, to help them fundraise for their important causes, when their physical events were cancelled. Ema has helped raised just under £100k in 2020!
Beyond this, the Ema Giving platform has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Guildford Innovation Awards! You can imagine the team are very excited, and we look forward to Awards Ceremony very soon.
We've got plenty of exciting things planned for Ema in 2021, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those.

What we are looking forward to in 2021
We are so thankful for our wonderful clients who have helped make this year great, and we have some exciting projects lined up for next year that we can't wait to get started with.
If you've got a web-based project you'd like to bring to life in 2021, don't hesitate to get in touch with us. We'd love to hear from you.
Well done to everyone for making it through, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in 2021!
